Peter Ackermann
VP of Finance & Operations
In March of 2021, Peter Ackermann, our new Vice President of Finance and Operations, joined Wisconsin Imaging Center of Excellence. Over the last 30 years Peter has gained a wealth of finance and accounting management experience working with a variety of professional service organizations. He is familiar with the outstanding service goals WICE strives to achieve on a regular basis and brings that mindset to the job responsibilities he performs for the practice.
Peter also works part-time as the Chief Financial Officer for EmOpti, Inc. His prior positions include Vice President of Finance and Operations for Milwaukee Orthopaedic Group, Ltd and Controller for Infinity HealthCare, Inc.
Mr. Ackermann received a Bachelor of Science with a major in Business Administration from UW – Stevens Point and Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting and Finance from Keller Graduate School of Management.
Peter, and his wife Joan, are residents of Whitefish Bay and he enjoys several recreational activities including music, bicycle riding/racing, golf, backpacking and snowshoeing.
Cecilia Miller
Office Manager
Cecilia Miller is a Marquette graduate with a background in physical therapy. She joined WICE in the summer of 2021, to oversee daily clinic operations and assist with patient services. Cecilia is excited to be part of a locally owned company whose mission is to provide access to state of the art imaging equipment at a reasonable cost for the Milwaukee area. “Being an independent facility, we are in a unique position to work closely with patients and their referring doctors to make sure questions are answered and exams are personalized, while at the same time being affordable”, she comments. In her free time, Cecilia likes to walk her dog, attend different festivals across Milwaukee and have game nights with friends.
Lydia Mejia
Lead Intake Specialist
After completing her medical assistant certificate, Lydia worked in several medical offices before joining WICE in the spring of 2021. A pivotal member of the team, Lydia is at the front end working on prior authorizations and scheduling appointments in a timely manner. Speaking Spanish and English, Lydia takes patients through each step of registration, saying “I strongly believe patient care is important, that’s why I strive to provide our patients with the best service they deserve”. Lydia is a mother of four boys: Juan, Leo, Adan and Cristian. When she is away from the office she enjoys spending quality time with her family. She also enjoys attending classic car show events, biking and reading.
Jeff Blawat
Jeff Blawat is a MRI/Bone Density/Radiologic Technologist at Wisconsin Imaging Center of Excellence. Jeff is hospital trained with over 20 years of experience. Additionally, he is board certified by the American College of Radiology and a Graduate of Columbia-St. Mary’s School of Radiologic Technologists. He has a passion for patient care and for medical technology, bringing both exceptional experience and high quality imaging to our patients.
Cheryl Knippel
Cheryl Knippel has been in diagnostic imaging for 25+ years. Certified in MRI and radiologic technology, she comes to WICE from a pediatric hospital. Her background allows her to proficiently scan neonates to adults. Cheryl enjoys the teamwork developed between her and coworkers, which in turn, has created a flexible and caring environment for patients. From walk-in appointments to difficult cases, Cheryl expressed “together we excel in patient satisfaction and image quality”. Outside of the clinic, Cheryl enjoys cooking, gardening, riding her motorcycle and spending time with her grandkids.
Donna LaCoursiere
Donna LaCoursiere is a registered Radiologic technologist and board certified in computed tomography, also known as CT scan. In addition to her specialty of CT, Donna has spent time working on independent workstations creating 2D and 3D reformats, taking standard radiographic images, and performing DEXA bone density exams. With her 30 years experience in the field, Donna has enjoyed the many different aspects diagnostic imaging has to offer, saying “Technology has come a long way and is ever changing still today. It is exciting to be part of this continual growth and to help people along the way.” In her free time, Donna enjoys spending time with friends and family.
Tim Bell
Ultrasound Sonographer
Tim Bell is an Ultrasonographer at Wisconsin Imaging Center of Excellence. Tim has over 26 years of hospital based experience. He is board certified by the American Registry of Diagnostic Sonography and a graduate of Columbia-St Mary’s school of Ultrasonography. He brings experience and passion for patient care to all of our patients.
